ORL Trades:
(71) Jimmy Butler - $22,750,000 $24,500,000 (55) Nick Young - $3,000,000 (53) DeAndre Bembry - $1,205,300 $2,108,070 $3,081,998 Outgoing Salary: $26,955,300 Team Salary Before: $118,975,365 Incoming Salary: $32,669,400 Team Salary After: $124,689,465
(26,955,300x1.25=33,694,125 > 32,669,069)
I accept this trade. I love MPJ, and still consider him a #1 overall caliber talent who I was extremely excited to bring on board, but I think this trade helps me double down on the "win now" nature of the Conley and Horford contracts by adding Butler at the expense of a couple young guys whose potential I value highly (Forbes has 6MOTY potential IMO, and MPJ's ceiling is very high) and a great contributor in Hill that I think will have a big bounce back season after struggling to find a role to allowed him the volume he had in Utah that helped him have a career year (Hill's shooting splits were fantastic in 17-18). Looking forward to this coming year and seeing what my team can do. Stuff The Magic Dragon

Butler has the be worth more than this?! Out of all the young talent Okc has maybe add a guy that you don’t have to worry about in regards to health...

This is a huge reject from me Butler is worth way more than this Do you think he's gonna get anymore for an expiring jimmy butler? Butler will most likely leave Orlando after this season so getting MPJ and Forbes to pair with Zo is solid.

Please, no comments or votes until both parties have accepted the deal. This is another thing we’ve gotten progressively worse at and definitely need to fix.

This can’t be the only excuse anytime trades like these are made. The season hasn’t even started, what’s the rush?

That's not a valid argument right now or else we wouldn't have accepted Stuff trading McCollum locked down long term and Jerami Grant for Butler less than 3 months ago.

I think McCollum is worth more than that in most cases but even then, we are talking about MPj who most considered a reach at 7.

You’re supposed to wait for both parties to accept a deal before commenting/voting in the trade thread. Just because we’ve gotten bad about this and the TC rules are a bit hidden and outdated doesn’t mean that this rule has disappeared.

Nah, trade committee had to much power. This is messy and stuff but it is much better plus, it is entertaining when you go full rage mode.

Trade committee wouldn’t have too much power if we had nine members and cycled more often, but I don’t dislike this process, it just makes it far too difficult to disseminate the rules for voters.

I love the presentation, very clear but looking how my past trades were judged compared to this, I'll reserve my reservations. Fortunately I vote based on the reasoning and end-goal of the GM

We accept this trade. We've been fishing offers for Jimmy Butler for a while now and this is the best offer to come. We like Forbes and MPJ, 2 young guys who can potentially be good. Hill is alright, we might plan to move him before the season start.
